I read the instructions for installing VB6 on Windows 10 on the Internet using the VBforum instructions.1. I begin with "immediately install the Service Pack 6". From the instructions, I clicked the link to the Service Pack 6 download.2. I downloaded VS6sp6B (27,165 KB). I then copied the file from my Downloads to a separate file.3. I double clicked the file name to extract the contents.4. At the top of the list, I double clicked "acmsetup.exe". The file responded with "cannot locate "acmsetup.stf".5. Farther down the list of files, I double clicked "Setup6.exe". The file responded with, "Setup was not completed successfully".6. What now?7. Please reply at your convenience. Yes, I ran SetupSP6.exe as Administrator. Not working. I decided to update VB6 manually from the extracted files location. Curiously, MScomm32.ocx is missing from the extracted files and the cabinet files.
