Red Dead Redemption Sign in to your ScreenRant account Fans of the Red Dead Redemption series are taking to the internet to share their favorite Easter eggs from the franchise. The Red Dead Redemption games are known for their beautiful settings, but Rockstar also enjoys throwing in Easter eggs for fans to hunt down and discover. There are even Easter eggs spread across multiple different Rockstar games, like a knife from the first Red Dead Redemption as a tattoo in Grand Theft Auto 5, and a family photo from RDR2 seen in GTA Online. Reddit user Entire-Lawfulness883 asked fellow fans to share their favorite Easter eggs from across the series, and several different answers were given. For an example, Entire-Lawfulness883 shared Arthur Morgan's hunt for the vampire in Saint Denis. This prompted many replies talking about the different bizarre supernatural things that Arthur can stumble upon throughout the game. One user mentioned that Francis Sinclair, the time traveler and potential key to RDR3, was their choice because of how immersive his mission was and how much lore it explained for them. While Sinclair's time traveling is not explicitly confirmed in the game, it's very strongly implied, and given the other supernatural encounters in RDR2, it wouldn't even be that out of place. Other notable Easter eggs that players pointed out included the eerie donkey lady skeleton left on a ranch in RDR2, as well as the witch's hut, Viking altars, and pirate swords that can be found throughout the Red Dead Redemption franchise. Another Reddit user mentioned that their favorite Easter egg was RDR2's UFO, which Arthur comes across during his exploration. They also noted that this is one of the reasons they like the supernatural aspect of Red Dead Redemption and the Easter eggs that Rockstar put into the 939 Likes, TikTok video from Cevexy (@itzcevexy): This is how to get the Viking Helmet and Viking Axe in RDR2 (part 25) rdr2 secret easteregg vikings axe fyp. rdr2. 2025-04-08“A rare ancient Hatchet, engraved all over with Nordic patterns and bound with leather. This Hatchet can also be thrown.„—In-game descriptionThe Viking Hatchet is a rare melee weapon featured in Red Dead Redemption 2. It cannot be customized.Description[]As the name might suggest, the Viking Hatchet is similar to the regular hatchet: a basic hand axe, with a wedged steel blade and long wooden handle. It is designed for chopping wood, but owing to its robust build, this powerful one-handed weapon can not only be swung to deliver a large amount of damage to an opponent, but also thrown. The design is primitive, with rope and leather keeping the blade and wooden hilt together, the blade and hilt of the hatchet also has noticable viking artwork on it.Acquisition[]This melee weapon can be found at the Old Tomb, a point of interest in the Roanoke Valley area of New Hanover, lodged in a skull. Also, found nearby is the Viking Helmet and the Ancient Viking Comb.Like with all unique hatchets, the player should be warned that they must catch the hatchet back every time after throwing it, as it is not restored automatically to the Weapons Wheel like the other main weapons when it is dropped on the ground, which means if they don't recover it, they risk losing it for the rest of the game.Trivia[]The compendium image was later reused in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition to remake a poster of The Bloody Choppers, a fictional band that is advertised in the 3D Universe of Grand Theft Auto.Gallery[]Photo shown in the compendiumNavigation[]v • d • eWeapons in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead OnlineMeleeFists | Cleaver | Hatchet (Double Bit - Rusted | Hewing | Stone | Viking | Hunter - Rusted) | Hunting Knife (Antler

You can see it and many other notable swords in the British Museum today, but this Viking sword Leutlrit (sometimes spelled Leuterit) is one of a kind.Except for the lettering in the fuller, our Leutlrit sword is an exact replica. It has the characteristic features of a Wheeler-Oakeshott type VI, such as the curved crossguard and the riveted, five-lobed pommel, and both are decorated in a copper-colored lozenge pattern. Its dimensions and weight are almost exactly the same as the original. The double-edged blade has a wide fuller which makes it light yet flexible and the slightly tapered, wooden grip has silvery studs to make it very manageable. Once you have had this Viking sword Leutlrit in your hand, you won't want to put it down.
