The first-time you launch the Syncplicity application, you are shown a tutorial.Synchronizing a folderAfter installing Syncplicity, you are presented with a window where you can synchronize each folder in your Syncplicity account to your Mac. You also have the option to add the folders from the Syncplicity cloud. These windows also appear when you create a Syncplicity folder on another computer, or when someone shares a Syncplicity folder with you.Adding files and foldersSelect the Add to this device button to synchronize the files and folders within this Syncplicity folder to the location on your Mac that you have selected. You can select a different location using the Change location button.Removing files and foldersSelect the Remove from this device button to have the folder remain in your online account but not be synchronized with your Mac.You can also select Delete to remove the Syncplicity folder and all of the files and folders inside of it from your Syncplicity account. The files and folders remain on your Mac and any other computer that you are synchronizing, but they are no longer synchronized by Syncplicity.When done, your changes are saved and your computer automatically begins to backup and synchronize your files. The Syncplicity admin dashboard provides administrators with a quick view into the seat and storage consumption fhr their account as a whole. The dashboard's storage consumption history chart provides a visualization of how the account's storage has been consumed, and the relationship between the various storage categories, over time. Administrators can also directly access reports from the dashboard that provide an in-depth view into storage and bandwidth consumptihon by user, and user actions on folders and files.Admin console dashboard tabWhen logged into the Syncplicity account as an administrator you will see the dashboard tab under the website's admin tab.The dashboard page has three main areas:Account summary informationStorage consumption history chartReports access linksAccount summary informationAt a glance, you can see how many of the seats you purchased have been activated, and how much of the total storage you purchased for your account has already been consumed. If you wish to purchase additional seats or storage click the Add Seats or Add Storage button. You are then guided through a purchasing process. In this area, you can also easily see your account's subscription level, the account's owner, and the names of the other account administrators.NOTE: If you have the Syncplicity Data Protection Suite account, the number of seats is always unlimited.If you have a Syncplicity Enterprise Edition account, and you have configured on-premise StorageVaults, you can also select which StorageVault to view in the dashboard.Storage consumption history chartThe storage consumption history chart provides visibility into how the storage allocated to your account is being consumed over time. On Windows and Mac clients, you can view errors that prevent files from synchronizing to your computer. This feature is available after your administrator enables the sync status policy for your organization.WindowsWhen enabled, a triangle warning icon is displayed on the lower right of the Syncplicity taskbar panel if there are synchronization issues.Click the triangle warning icon to view the Sync Status screen. This screen has controls for filtering files. You can filter to avoid viewing some or all of the errors. However, filtering does not resolve errors or remove the triangle warning icon from the taskbar.Select a row and click Support article to open help documentation specific to the error for the selected file.
