Show Fill Tab by Me

Yes, it's on my Mac that I have this issue. Can you please clarify by what you mean that if I'm on Facebook webpages, "then the icon for the website is going to show on every tab that's normal." Do you mean if I have one webpage up that is Facebook, but have other tabs open that are non Facebook pages those non Facebook tabs (websites) will also show a Facebook icon on the tabs even though they are not Facebook websites??Here's what I've run into for example: I will have looked at Facebook, then use that same tab to enter a new web address like Youtube. So I now have only 1 tab open and it is on Youtube. The Facebook icon still shows on the tab instead of a Youtube icon, even though I no longer have a Facebook website up. Then I make a new tab for example, my local electricity webpage. This new tab I have also shows a Facebook icon. So all three tabs that are open show a Facebook icon on the tab, even though none of the tabs open are a Facebook webpage. The icons show on the tab at the top, on the left of it's description ie: Youtube. I will try clearing my history but cannot at this time.

Safari tabs reappearing after closing and then disappearing when left open The tabs in safari on my iPhone initially were reappearing after I had closed them. This went on for a few weeks. It was annoying, but I just kept closing them until they finally didn’t come back again. But then yesterday, my tabs began disappearing when I had left them open. Learn how to set Safari to automatically close open tabs after a day, week, or month on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac so that your web browser is not unnecessarily burdened with old, useless tabs.Several open tabs can slow down Safari and eat up precious system resources. The issue is exacerbated if you set Safari to open all links in new tabs, leaving you with a bunch of tabs that you probably don’t even know are open.In order to prevent that from happening, many people manually close their open tabs, but the problem is you have to remember to do that in the first place. Thankfully, Safari has the ability to automatically close all open tabs after a specific period of time, and this tutorial shows you how to do that.On iPhone and iPad1) Open the Settings app.2) Choose Safari from the main list.3) Tap Close Tabs underneath the Tabs heading.4) Choose how you want Safari to automatically close tabs:Manually: Safari won’t automatically close tabs. After One Day: All open tabs will be cleared after 24 hours. After One Week: All open tabs will be cleared after a week. After One Month: All open tabs will be cleared after a month. On Mac1) Open Safari on macOS Sonoma or later.2) From the top menu bar, click Safari > Settings.3) Go to the Tabs section.4) Click the drop-down menu next to ‘Automatically close tabs‘ and choose After one day, After one week, or After one month.Whenever I visit my parents and use their iPad, I’m totally flabbergasted by the sheer amount of open tabs they have in Safari without them even realizing it. Try as I might, my Mom just couldn’t be bothered to grasp the concept of tabbed browsing. Me being nit-picky, I couldn’t stand the sight of dozens upon dozens of open tabs, so what I’d do is close them manually in order to make Safari more responsive and easier to navigate. With this handy setting, I’ll just set her device to auto-close all open tabs each and every day—it’s one less thing to worry about!Useful Safari tips:How to use Safari tab groups on iPhone, iPad, and MacHow to pin tabs in Safari on iPhone, iPad, and MacHow to save all open Safari tabs as bookmarks on iPhone and iPad. Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Safari says I’m about to clear more tabs than I am aware of having open when I clear history and website data I have noticed since iPadOS 17 that when I clear history and website data it gives a timeframe option and a clear tabs option along with telling me how many tabs will be closed before it clears. The number of tabs it says it will close is always more than the number of tabs I am aware of having open. Right now, for instance, I am aware of having just this one tab open as I write this, but I can go to clear history and website in settings, as I just did, it says “This will close your 2 tabs.” Prior to my recent clear I had 1 tab open, that I was aware of, and it said it was going to close 9 tabs. I have no idea where they could be. 1 may have been a private tab, but it would be 1 maximum. How could I have 9 tabs open that I am unaware of? Where can they be? How can I access them? Is anyone else using tabs on my account? Am I part of a bot-net somehow? Does anyone at Apple have answers? Because no matter how many times I clear history, anytime I open safari and go to a single site it says I have two tabs open if I go to clear it again. iPad Pro, iPadOS 17 Posted on Jan 20, 2024 5:38 PM Posted on Jan 20, 2024 7:25 PM I don’t have other tab groups or private tabs open. I cleared my history and had it clear all tabs, then opened safari, went to one site, went back into settings and went to clear history again and it says it’s going to clear 2 tabs. I want to know where this second tab is. Is it a glitch? Is safari opening a hidden tab somewhere else that I can’t access? Is my iPad cloned somehow and everything I do opens up on someone else’s machine? It’s freaky to see and just makes me feel like my iPad is not secure! I don’t know if you’ve tried it on your iPad but go to clear your history and website data and when that window pops up for timeframe and tabs see how many tabs it’s saying you’re about to close and see if that matches up to how many you think you have open. Damage system files and failing hardware (HDs, RAM and graphics cards mostly). Now, Opera demanding a lot of resources can put strain fragile hardware and that might be the cause of the blue screens. Kind of like a knock on effect. Do you have these same high system resource demands in Chrome? A Former User last edited by I had the issue with my Chrome.Crashes happened when I used my RealPlayer simultaneously at least for a while together with the browser running: when I closed the browser, the system shut down.Just a hint. lando242 last edited by RealPlayer is the Sears of the media player business; still around despite everyones perception and its own best efforts. I'd uninstall it at your earliest convenience. Not that this has anything to do with the topic at hand. Thats just my educated opinion as a computer technician. It is not good software. brencog13 last edited by Same opera version, exact same issue and all the same symptoms (tabs are slow to open, high resource utilisation). Appeared yesterday I believe. Could this be a bug in the newest version, 27.0.1689.69? chewchewy1 last edited by I've done another test with Opera and a comparison to Chrome. Opera bugs out on me with my standard number of tabs, about 30 average (which has been the standard since Opera 11.64). Chrome, on the other hand, bugs out on me when I've jumped well beyond 70. Is it possible to just chalk these issues up to Opera 27 being bugged out? Furthermore, I've been looking into other solutions: Would Opera 28 beta be a solution, and is it known when Opera 28 stable is coming out? bdjemag last edited by I am having the same issues here. Opera feels really sluggish, opening and closing tabs is excessively slow, and sometimes I also get stutters while watching videos, as if the browser is freezing. Those issues are only there with OPERA and are constant no matter the number of tabs open, I can have chrome or any other browsers open with up to 50+ tabs no problem. A Former User last edited by Hate to say it, but me, too, for some while (not that I can correlate it with Opera 27 vs. 26). I have a fair number of tabs open (33 over two windows at the moment), but I used to have more than that with Opera. If I open up many tabs in Chrome, the Tabs start to shrink. This is usually a normal behavior if the tabs would use the whole availible space, BUT in my case the tabs shrink too much. They don't use up the whole availible space anymore, but only go until somwhere at three quarters of the window. The more tabs I open, the larger the availible space gets until it reaches a maximum. This strikes me as somewhat not so normal.Another funny thing is, if I use a second Monitor to extend my Desktop, Tabs will be smaller on the second Desktop and will only fill half the availible space from the beginning. For example right now I have 6 tabs open, which fill out approximately half the availible space. If I open more tabs, only the tab size reduces. This has not been like that when I first installed the browser. This is what it looks like:Is there any solution for this? I hereby explicitly mean NO extensions. I found enough extensions to handle tabs. I just want them to behave normally without any of those tab-extensions. Re-Installing Chrome does NOT work, I tried that.
