However, I was wondering if Opera had a 'Restore previous session' function like the nifty little option Firefox has in its history window: it should be possible since Opera also has the 'Continue where I left off' option, right? leocg Moderator Volunteer last edited by Opera doesn't have such feature. lando242 last edited by There are session managers that you can install that can do such things. I use the Chrome extension 'Session Buddy' along with the Opera extensions 'Download Chrome Extension' which allows you to install Chrome extension sin Opera. It is seriously the best session manager I have ever used. tagada58 last edited by Why Opera didin't ahve this feature , it's an important feature to have , I just lost all my precedent session and I have to fish around in my history to find them all lando242 last edited by Opera 12 had this feature. It was hard to maintain and was used by relatively few people. For the new version of Opera they decided to put as many of the difficult to maintain and little used features into extensions as possible. So download one of the many extensions that add this feature. tagada58 last edited by Well I didn't see any reliable extension who will save automatically my session , I find on who have a tab limit and a another who have don't do it automatically. lando242 last edited by admin Well I didn't see any reliable extension who will save automatically my session , I find on who have a tab limit and a another who have don't do it automatically.Read this post please: A Former User last edited by Besides, they say you can save your current tabs as a Speed Dial folder.Right? No idea if it'll act as a SESSION in its full sense though - page position, tab history, etc... tagada58 last edited by @lando242 Thanks, I thought installing two extensions for that was too much but it was exactly what I searched. Thanks for the help. Session Buddy currently stores collections, history, and settings on your computer. This post explains the limitations inherent to this type of data storage and what you can do to guard against circumstances that can lead to data loss in some rare cases.Extension local storage vulnerabilitiesAlthough uncommon, data that a browser extension stores on your computer can in some cases get deleted or corrupted due to circumstances beyond the extension’s control. Some of the factors known to contribute to such data loss are:Low disk spaceFolders where the data is stored being deleted or corrupted by an external process such as:scheduled backupanti-virusOS “cleaner” (eg, CCleaner, Avast Cleanup)Windows RestoreBrowsing data or site data being cleared, either manually or automaticallyThe extension being reset, disabled, or uninstalled by the browserBrowser profile corruption, possibly caused by a browser update or power outageA browser or OS crashBugs in the browser’s implementation of IndexedDBThe usual risk factors associated with storing data in a single location, such as hardware failure and device theft. What you can do to protect your Session Buddy dataAn opt-in cloud storage feature is currently in the works. This will, among other benefits, be the easiest and most reliable way to eliminate the risks related to storing data locally. In the meantime, we recommend you follow the measures outlined below to give you the peace of mind of a data recovery option should you need it.System backupsInclude the local Session Buddy data folders in your scheduled system backups. If you do not already have a process in place to regularly back up your files, either to an external drive or to the cloud, you absolutely should. Trust us on this one.Manual backupsAlthough less convenient, we recommend setting a daily, weekly, or monthly reminder to manually create a backup by clicking on the Session Buddy gear menu, then clicking Export. An export file can be used to restore a new installation of Session Buddy through the Restore feature.

They're blocking all non-company-issued browsers, so essentially locking us in to Chrome/Edge. As a lifelong Firefox user, I am repulsed! Hoping to get an exception. We need Firefox, now more than ever. #38 I only stopped using Chrome because they messed with ublock tbh #39 I switched to firefox on desktop and android a few years ago. I think it works great. I switched my in-browser search engine to duckduckgo recently and I'm exploring more options to give google less data. #40 Just need to get my exports from session buddy to be imported by tab session manager and I will be able to do a full switch, but right now for whatever reason, is giving me an error #41 I've fully swapped to Firefox a couple years ago and couldn't be happier. Actually scratch that. I had a problem this week where the main dictionary add on stopped working. I found an alternative but it's not fully Firefox recommend or something so I'm iffy on it. Also does anyone know a good email provider to replace Gmail? #42 I moved to brave. I don't use any plugins and it blocks everything. #43 I have my FF so rigged up, i doubt i could dupe it in another browser Same. I have many, many extensions and it's so much better than any other browser I have used #44 Always been on Firefox. Never had a reason to leave. #45 I moved to brave. I don't use any plugins and it blocks everything. This. Brave is king in my book. #46 I've fully swapped to Firefox a couple years ago and couldn't be happier. Actually scratch that. Also does anyone know a good email provider to replace Gmail? I use Protonmail, but there are other alternatives listed in this thread too: #47 Heads up, Mozilla recently removed a part of their terms concerning privacy and user data. The CEO did clarify in a blog post why, but it's a blog post and the ToC is still a very strong thing. That said, there are alternatives like Waterfox and Zen Browser. Both allow you to use Mozilla accounts to sync up bookmarks and whatnot so it's an easy transition. (You can then sign out of Mozilla account if you wanted to). +1 for Zen Browser, I'm in love with it personally.Don't even have a Mozilla account, it grabbed everything from my Chrome history and it was a seamless transition [other than getting used to vertical and split browsing]. #48 +1 for Zen Browser, I'm in love with it personally.Don't even have a Mozilla account, it grabbed everything from my Chrome history and it was a seamless transition [other than getting used to vertical and split browsing].
