Save as adobe pdf missing in excel - Adobe Community -

First off, this is not my issue. I am IT and this is a problem that one of our employees has run into. The option to save an excel file as an Adobe PDF is gone. We go into the options and Add-ins settings on Excel to add it manually, but then when Excel is closed and re-opened, it disappears again. She says that this started to occur after recently updating to Windows 11. She has Windows 11, Office 2016, and Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. Excel is the only application experiencing this issue. We have tried to repair the Adobe Installation, check Adobe for updates, check for Windows updates, check for driver updates, and uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe but nothing has worked. She is able to export the excel file as a PDF and then open it in Adobe, but she would prefer to have the "Save as Adobe PDF" option back if possible.Thanks--Logan

When the user attempts to convert an excel file to a PDF from file explorer, they get the error "Missing PDFMaker files. Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?" Adobe is up to date and I have installed the latest updates for Office 2016. I have also attempted repairs to both office and adobe with no luck. The PDF maker add-in is showing up as an inactive (in Excel) so I attempted to add it by going to manage COM add-ins, and adding "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" Unfortunately when I close Excel the Acrobat tab gets removed and I have to do this over again. I tried to make a change to the load behavior for PDFMaker.Office.Addin. The value was already set correctly, to 3, so that did not help. I attempted to uninstall and re-install both Adobe and Office and the problem still presented itself. I also tried to manually register the COM add-in file by running this command in an elevated command prompt but got an error stating "The module failed to load.
