RPG VX RTP / RPG VX :
Country code in uppercase, e.g. zh_CN.UTF-8 for Simplified Chinese. Leave the UTF-8 alone unless you know what you're doing.RPG Maker Run-Time Package[]To play most of the fangames, you will need the RPG Maker Run-Time Package, RTP for short.RTPs used for most games:Japanese 2000 RTP (MUST USE JAPANESE LOCALE TO INSTALL)Japanese 2003 RTP (MUST USE JAPANESE LOCALE TO INSTALL)English 2003 RTP (Fan-translated version)Japanese VX RTP (MUST USE JAPANESE LOCALE TO INSTALL)Japanese VX Ace RTP (MUST USE JAPANESE LOCALE TO INSTALL)English 2000 - VX Ace RTP (For official versions of RPG Maker)(If the installation stops at 44% with an error, you most likely forgot to extract it with Applocale, or Applocale doesn't work on your system.)Missing File Errors[]Most of the time, an error will come up for a missing file. Sometimes it's a specific file in the game, but most of the time it's a few RTP files that aren't used in-game, but are part of the RPG Maker engine. Here is an album of common missing files:Missing Files []WOLF RPG Editor[]WOLF RPG Editor games don't need any RTP or extra downloads. After you download the game, remember to extract the file with Japanese encoding, then use Microsoft Applocale or Locale Emulator to open the start button.Other problems[]I'm using Windows Vista and the game doesn't work![]If you have any troubles with making any games work on Vista, you can try these:Right-click the application and click on Properties.Click on Compability and select Windows XP Service Pack 2.Click Ok.ORRight-click the applicationClick on AdvancedIn the Dialog window, check the box Run As Administrator. If neither of those work, you could always try running to the hills. My character keeps going up without me pushing any buttons![]This is a common problem in RPG Maker games, from 2000 to VX. The reason as to why this happens is still a mystery, but you could try one or all of the following:Try using the arrow keys on the numpad. These can usually regain control of the character.Reboot your computer.Turn your computer off for some minutes. Let it cool down, take a breath.Stay away from RPG Maker games for a while, even after rebooting.Reinstall RPG Maker (if you're using it).Reinstall the RPG Maker RTP of the game you're trying to play.Try to run the game with your computer in safe mode click run, write administrative tool, click on system configuration, boot, boot options, safe boot, and select active directory repair then reboot It's Our Revolution! is a freeware "puzzle RPG" by Wood Penguin made in RPG Maker VX Ace. The goal of the game is for the unheard youth to gather a following to sway the king. Unfortunately, as your ensemble grows, you'll find it becomes a little difficult to get around... (Content Severity: Very Mild) Download It's Our Revolution! 1.5 | (Mirror) (Chrome may falsely flag the download as malicious, but it's safe to ignore.) Installation of the RPG Maker VX Ace Runtime Package (not VX) is required to play. Download VX Ace Runtime Package (RTP) Supported Platforms The game's engine is made for Windows only, with no native support for other platforms. To play on Mac, you can try a general-purpose tool like WineBottler. Troubleshooting If you extracted the ZIP but save data is still being erased, try running the game as an administrator. Without admin privileges, the game may not have permission to create save files. "RPG Maker VX Ace RTP is not installed" means you need the RPG Maker VX Ace RTP. This is distinct from the VX RTP which other games may require. The download link is up above. Feb 17, 2022, 3:43 PM Is there even a way to use them efficiently outside of the RPG Maker? I have the maker and had a lot of problems editing the sprites because most of them have this strange additonal 50% transparence effect around the edges. =/ May 3, 2017, 6:43 PM @TheMorningFlash15: The default images / RTP is fine, it's the DLC stuff that probably shouldn't be ripped. May 3, 2017, 1:02 PM So, are you saying that I should't rip any more from this game? Or just not from the RTP? May 3, 2017, 8:18 AM @kendotlibero: I feel the same way, honestly. While it's fine if DLC assets are ripped from other games, the RPG Maker series is one of the only exceptions.Better safe than sorry, ya know. May 3, 2017, 8:04 AM i think we shouldn't rip the dlc assets from the game, since somebody could use this site to get them without buying it Apr 30, 2017, 2:21 PM Yes, there is. This is just for people who did not buy the game, but still want its sprites. Apr 29, 2017, 9:22 PM Uh, isn't there already a official RTP? This page does not work well in portrait mode on mobile. Won't effect WINE, but its actually the panel to install things through it. I don't know why they decided to call it "UNINSTALL" only, since it does both and more. You should see this: [IMG] You see the red boxed thing? That's how you install new things; we'll need to click that. But first, take a look at the stuff I boxed in blue. This is how it should look after you are done with everything. Ignore "MSVCRT Redists"; though; but if you want, you can install it just in case (by checking the list I mentioned earlier, or searching it up in Dash Home). Now back to the red; click the "INSTALL" button and navigate to your desktop. Here, open up the folder that has the install files for RPGVX, not ACE, and install the ACTUAL MAKER before the RTP. For example, this is what it looks like for me, e.i, where I installed:[IMG] of it must be inside of RPG Maker folder! Do not make separate folders for ACE, XP and VX!So, set up the RPGVX program, NOT THE RTP, to this folder first. Install it and then open up the Uninstall WINE software again, this time we select VX's RTP. We'll install it in the same folder, so do it. If it says "This folder already exists, would you like to install inside this folder anyway?" click yes; do no worry about it. After the RTP is installed, we need to install the trial of XP. *You can install FULLWineHQ - RPG Maker VX Ace RTP
RPG Maker VX is a software development program designed for creating role-playing video games. It was developed and published by Enterbrain in 2007 in Japan, and 2008 worldwide. It is the successor to RPG Maker XP from 2005 and is succeeded by RPG Maker VX Ace in 2012.Features[]It has features that were removed from RPG Maker XP, allowing for it to be easier to use.It is the first in the RPG Maker series to switch to using mostly auto-tiles for creating maps, making it easier to create maps. However, the ability to manually select the layer to use was removed, and was only restored in RPG Maker MZ. The art style of the default tilesets causes map terrain to look blocky in comparison to RPG Maker XP's default tilesets which had curved cliffs. Also, tilesets were limited to a small amount of tiles unlike RPG Maker XP which had a much greater limit on the amount of tiles in a tileset as the height of a tileset could be massive. The main limitation is that only one tileset could be used for an entire game, which places a severe limit on how unique the game's settings could be.The event command selection window has been improved further, with the groups now being labeled. The labeled groups make it easier to figure out where each event command option is.Reception[]Current fan reception claims that RPG Maker VX is an inferior version of the more recently released RPG Maker VX Ace program, and that it is recommended to use RPG Maker VX Ace instead of RPG Maker VX.Trivia[]The initials in the names of the default actors for new RPG Maker VX games spell out "RUBYLOVE" (Ralph, Ulrika, Bennett, Ylva, Lawrence, Oscar, Vera, Elmer).. #1 I read the XP assets terms of use and whats confusing me is " ENTERBRAIN grants to Licensee a non-exclusive, non-assignable, fee-free license to use the RTP SOFTWARE only for the purpose to play the GAME created and distributed by RPG MAKER XP users who shall complete the registration procedure. "If i bought the engine, can i use the asset in another one? or xp only? thank you for any help #2 You've long been able to use any RPG Maker assets in any other RPG Maker; and this past year, the terms were modified so you can use RPG Maker assets you own in any game-making software. #3 thank you for your help You've long been able to use any RPG Maker assets in any other RPG Maker; and this past year, the terms were modified so you can use RPG Maker assets you own in any game-making software. #4 You've long been able to use any RPG Maker assets in any other RPG Maker; as far as i remember, certain aspects (like mv's memorial pack etc) are locked behind engine-exclusivebut in the end of the day, the only real answer, that can be given to such questions always is: don't trust random ppl on the net, read you'r eulas yourself #5 as far as i remember, certain aspects (like mv's memorial pack etc) are locked behind engine-exclusive When the OP talks about the terms of use for the RTP software, that seems clear to me that they are asking about the RTP - the assets that come with the purchase of the software. And so my answer was in kind - those are the current terms for all included assets with any version of the RPG Maker software. I think it's fairly obvious that anything separate you purchase with its own terms requires you to abide by those terms. But anything that says "you must own MV," for example, simply because it's an edit of an MV RTP asset, can be used in anything you own so long as you own MV. read you'r eulas yourself True enough. Let it cool down, take a breath.Stay away from RPG Maker games for a while, even after rebooting.Reinstall RPG Maker (if you're using it).Reinstall the RPG Maker RTP of the game you're trying to play.Try to run the game with your computer in safe mode click run, write administrative tool, click on system configuration, boot, boot options, safe boot, and select active directory repair then reboot
2025-03-30It's Our Revolution! is a freeware "puzzle RPG" by Wood Penguin made in RPG Maker VX Ace. Please rotate your device.

Heres a screenshot: #2 Is this the Steam version? Is the VX ACE RTP properly installed? It might have gotten corrupted by one of several reasons... #3 The first likely problem is that the RTP package is not installed. But if you're using the steam version then it should be installed.Try this in the windows machine. Assuming you have windows 10.Control Panel -> System -> (on the right) click link 'Advanced system settings'.In new window with the advanced tab selected click settings button under performance. In the new window click Data Execution Prevention tab.Add RPGVXAce editor exe file to the list by clicking add and point to the file. This works for RPG Maker VX issues starting. with rtp installed.Your screenshots looks like you're using the steam version so this might work. #4 The first likely problem is that the RTP package is not installed. 2025-04-03Won't effect WINE, but its actually the panel to install things through it. *You can install FULL
