Quicktime for ipad

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I am trying to export a movie using Quicktime on my iMac. I select the option Export, then export for iPhone/iPad etc. When it is completed (in no time at all), I can only find an audio-only file and not the entire movie. I have done this successfully before, but I have obviously forgotten the required steps, or something with Quicktime has changed that I am not aware of. Please help.
