Premiere or export XML that imports into Premiere OK, but not into Resolve. It looks like Resolve is problem, but I also have PluralEyes-2 that have same issue when I try to feed CC2017/PluralEyes-4 XML into it: "Project contains NO FILES"!I used both PlurayEyes for my job, so I always had CC2013 along latest Premiere installed, because PE-2 only accepted XML from Premiere 7 or older. PE-3 and PE-4 accept XMP from newer versions. Also when I tested rountrip with Resolve 12.5 or 15, it worked FINE since I used Premiere CC2013 with it. My workflow was to load files into Premiere, export XML to sync it with PE-2, than import that back to Premiere to check and fix un-sinced files, than export that to Resolve and finish there. I remember later Premiere version had issues when importing older XML as well. "older" XML from Premiere used to split stereo audio into two separate track when imported back. New "XML" retained stereo track. So when I wanted to sync with PE2 but edit in CC2014 or later, I had to import that into CC2013 and than open project in newer version. If I imported XML directly it messed up timeline. So definitelly CC2013 worked OK, but later version not. I ended here because I had to reinstall computer and I could not find CC2013 since Adobe recently removed older version from Cloud. I can't use PE2 and I can't do round trips via CC2013 to Resolve. Forum Video Newbie / General discussions AVCHD Editing Help Thread--> Member Hi everyone, sorry to be the N00b but I've been scouring the forum and I am having a hard time finding an answer to my problem. Here we go. A while back I bought a Canon Vixia HF10 camcorder with the AVCHD chip. I had always used Premiere Pro CS3 to edit. Well, CS3 did not support the .m2ts file type that comes out of my camera so I was having to take the output files from my camera and convert them to AVI with VoltaicHD. That worked okay, but, took a lot of time and a lot of space and sometimes VoltaicHD crashes or doesn't convert the file. Anyway, I read that Premiere Pro CS4 now supported AVCHD, so I purchased an upgrade (which isn't working fully because I have the Master Collection and apparently I can only upgrade just premiere if I only had just premiere before that point. The Master Collection serial numbers aren't working for the upgrade, but I installed it as a trial version) but I still can't import the .m2ts files into Premiere CS4. It doesn't see them.So, what am I missing? Am I going to be able to edit the .m2ts footage in CS4 without converting? Is there a better program for converting than VoltaicHD. What other program can I use besides Premiere? I tried the trial version of Vegas and didn't really like it. I don't need anything too fancy. Should I go with Pinacle? Will that support .m2ts? I'm just making pretty simple videos for the web right now, but, would like something scalable for when I'm no longer a N00b. Anyway, thanks for any help you can provide. To my sister. I currently have the older CLAd black model which is my daily-driver and quite frankly completely beat to hell... And I've a newer bright-capped version that is practically mint. Both operate flawlessly. There is something simultaneously scrappy and elegant about the MX - it's quite utilitarian and rough in some ways, yet diminuitive and refined in others. With the MX Winder attached it is an entirely different beast and handles like a literal pro. Without the winder and with a small M series attached it is as small as any Leica (or smaller) and the only thing to give it away is its shutter/mirror noise which is not subtle, but far quiter than many other SLRs. The viewfinder is the star of the show; it is gigantic and bright, and with a fast 50 attached the magnification is such that you can experience the rare both-eyes-open shooting which is truly the pinacle of 35mm SLR use insofar as I am concerned. In this way you experience every benefit a rangefinder window has to offer combined with TTL DoF feedback and (nearly) exact framing that is the benefit of shooting an SLR with a prism and mirror, all at the same time. Shutter speeds go only to 1/1000th which isn't great, but is customary for the era in which it existed and more than sufficient. The dial has been often criticized as too stiff and I partially agree -- it is a bit stiff -- however many characterize it as "impossible" to operate without removing your eye from the finder and using more than one finger. This just isn't the case. Spend time with it and it becomes easier and second nature. The dial is stiffer than that on many other cameras, but (see video links below) it can absolutely be operated with a single index finger, or even still with a two-finger pinch grip whilst still looking through the finder. Another, though less frequent complaint is the lack of a mirror-lock up but as you may have heard there is a workaround known as the "flick trick".
