Transported without much hassle into the heart of an enemy town where they can unload and cause major damage. The rams also serve as additional building destroyers during a siege. The use of Shotel Warriors is situational as they demand a fair amount of gold, but still less than Knights or Archers. In general, the Shotel Warrior is mostly meant to be used as a raiding unit, and a Shotel Warrior rush is a somewhat a better alternative to the Knight rush since a group of Shotel Warriors is more cost-effective than Knights for raiding enemy villages due to their high mobility and much higher attack (in conjunction with Arson) than Knights. In addition, the Ethiopians lack key important upgrades for their cavalry such as Bloodlines, Plate Barding Armor, and the Paladin upgrade, making the Ethiopian Knight rush far weaker than other civilizations' Knight rushes such as the Berbers, Huns, and the Franks. However, given the Ethiopians' strong economic bonuses with the free Pikeman upgrade in addition to their free food and gold whenever they age up, they have better alternative rushing strategies than Shotel Warriors or their below average Knight rush (such as a Feudal/Castle Age Archer rush).Further statistics[]As Shotel Warriors are unique to the Ethiopians, only technologies that are available to them are shown in the following table:Strengths and weaknessesStrong vs.Buildings, Villagers, Elite Skirmishers, Pikemen, Eagle Warriors, Light Cavalry, Camel Riders, Elephant Archers, MonksWeak vs.Foot archers, Scorpions, Hand Cannoneers, Janissaries,Cataphracts, War Elephants, heavy infantryTechnologiesAttack Forging (+1) Iron Casting (+1) Blast Furnace (+2) Arson (+2 attack against standard buildings)Armor Scale Mail Armor (+1/+1) Chain Mail Armor (+1/+1) Plate Mail Armor (+1/+2)Damage resistance Royal Heirs (-3 from mounted units)Conversion resistance Devotion (+1 min, +1 max) Faith (+4 min, +4 max) Heresy (die upon getting converted) Movement speed Squires (+10%)Creation speed Conscription (+33%) Kasbah (+25%, with a Berber ally only)Team bonusesConversion resistance Teutons (+3 min, +1 max)Line of Sight Armenians (+2)Changelog[] The African Kingdoms[]Initially, Shotel Warriors have +2 (+3 for Elite) attack against standard buildings. “Ethiopian unique infantry with high attack and fast training speed. Fast-moving.”—Age of Empires II descriptionThe Shotel Warrior is the unique unit of the Ethiopians in Age of Empires II HD: The African Kingdoms. It is a quick and frail infantry unit with a very high attack and quick creation speed.Shotel Warriors can be upgraded to Elite Shotel Warriors in the Imperial Age.Tactics[]Shotel Warriors excel at raiding because of their high damage and movement speed, and they can serve as a last minute defense due to their quick creation speed. They train very quickly when upgraded to elite. They are extremely effective at picking off Villagers, needing only two strikes to kill them in the Imperial Age, a feat few other melee units can boast. They also raid buildings quite effectively, although they should not take on defensive structures. If uncontested, a quickly-made group of them can destroy a Town Center in seconds.Shotel Warriors are very squishy, with the Elite version providing only 1 pierce armor and 5 HP. Consequently, they die quickly to anything that has a fair amount of damage output such as Paladins, Champions, or Arbalesters in large numbers. Figuratively speaking, Shotel Warriors are glass cannons; kill easily but die easily.Still, in the early Castle Age they can be valuable when the player decides to place an offensive Castle because they can easily fend off enemy rams, thereby guaranteeing the Castle to stand. In open battles, Shotel Warriors are effective against siege units and Monks due to their high movement speed and attack.Once Royal Heirs is researched, they become resistant to mounted units' attack. This can compensate for the main weakness of Shotel Warriors when fighting against mounted units, increasing their survivability enough to win a pitched battle that might lose without the technology.Given the Ethiopian siege might, it is also a sound strategy to garrison groups of Shotel Warriors inside rams before sending them towards the enemy. #1 Greetings,I'm new to the IR thing so I'm asking for a little guidance and experience sharing to help me get is right. The idea is to run my various tube amps through a load box and into my DAW where I'll add the CAB IR of choice. My main question is "Which CAB IR loaders work well within Luna ?". I have a Suhr Reactive Load box and an Apollo 8x going into Luna, some York Cab IRs ready for action...Thank you for your time, any preferences and experiences are welcome. #2 No native IR loader in Luna yet.Post record, I'm pretty sure you can use any ir loader. If you wanna do it in 'real time' you can load one the UA/Brainworx amps in the Unison slot, turn off the pre and power amps and select from the drop down speaker selection. The Brainworx amps each have about 120 different speaker cab/mic options. #3 No native IR loader in Luna yet.Post record, I'm pretty sure you can use any ir loader. Thx,,, I've got the Suhr RL IR but wish I could more easily access all of the York Cab IRs without having to stop and load them into the limited slots on the Suhr. So far it does sound better though with limited latency (really there's next to zero latency, I wasn't accounting for the reverb plugin). Last edited: Jan 21, 2023 #4 My guess, and it's only a 'guess', is that at some point Luna will have a native IR loader. It seems to something folks want.Hit the feedback button in Luna and add the request to the queue. #5 I’m using a two notes cab m+ with a weber mass 200. the two notes connects to my mac via usb and can change cabs and rooms on the fly. If the apollos had hardware inserts. we could do the cab and room IR in post.. At least LG decided to keep a IR Blaster.Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk #14 I thought I was the only one. HTC m8 had the best ir blaster compared to my v10 and my brother's s5. Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk #15 I've been using the IR Blaster on the G2 for years to control my TV and receiver. Ever since I got the V10 I have been having trouble using the IR blaster. I have to press the buttons in the remote multiple times and try multiple angles even from 10 ft away. It seems I can't even control my TV from more than 15 ft. Anyone else noticing a really weak IR Blaster in the V10? Yes. I have to sit directly in front of the TV for it to work. Off at a 30 degree angle, it doesn't work. My HTC One M9 worked fine from the same location, so I'd attribute this to the IR blaster in the V10. #16 This is kinda disappointing. I can barely even use quick remote. For IR in my MC PC is an Atric IR reciever installed, who gives the recieved signals to Event Ghost, and this makes the appropriate Keystrokes.I use an old IR Remote from an older hifi device. IR is only backup if i have networkproblems and cant control with Mediola, but never happened yet.I only use Theater View for my MC PC Logged My English is not perfect, so be merciful with me Had been using JRemote2 for audio control only using my LG V60 Android phone. Really like MO4 as video and audio controller UI is good and zone switching easy going from audio through stereo system to video on whole other equipment.Only minor thing I don't like in MO4 UI (no swipe to switch "whats playing" to library or playlist screen. Doesn't highlight whats playing in your playlist which would be nice touch.Still learning and still playing with it. Still have to use TV remote for some TV functionality when using MC30 on Windows 10 mini-pc for videos.Do LOVE that can stream anything to stereo system/ TV/ tablet or phone whenever I want easily.
