DownloadingThe latest release of Meteor can be downloaded from here for Minecraft 1.18.2.Disclaimer: If your antivirus flags Meteor as dangerous, it is probably because it is an executable (jar) file. If you have any concerns feel free to check the source code located within this repository.InstallingMinecraft LauncherIf you already have Fabric Loader installed, skip to step 4.Download the Fabric installer and run it.Make sure 1.18.2 is selected, the path to your .minecraft folder is correct, and create profile is checked.Click Install and then wait for the process to complete.Open your .minecraft folder and create a folder within it called mods.Download Meteor from here and drag the downloaded jar file into the mods folder.Open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric 1.18.2 profile.Thats it, just click Launch to start up Meteor.MultiMCIf you already have MultiMC installed, skip to step 2.If you already have a MultiMC instance with Fabric Loader, skip to step 4.Download MultiMC and install it.Open MultiMC and click Add Instance, make sure 1.18.2 is selected, give your instance a name and click OK.Click Edit Instance with your new instance selected and then click Install Fabric then OK.Download Meteor from here.Go back to MultiMC and click the Loader Mods tab in the edit instance window, drag the downloaded meteor jar into the middle of the mods screen.Thats it, just click Launch to start up Meteor.

#1 Download the latest version of MultiMC: MultiMC.Click on the drop down arrow to the right of "New Instance"Select "Import from FTB Launcher"Find the folder that has your FTB launcher exe in it and click select folder.Select FTBBETA from the "Select FTB pack to import" dialogue box and click ok.Name the instance(doesn't matter whatcha name it).It will discover and copy the files, so for now just wait.Right click on your new instance and click play.Put in your username and password for Minecraft, then click ok. MultiMC should do everything else for you.Play FTB!Note: This requires you to already have FTB installed. Also FTB launcher has offline button so this will be pointless to do anyway. #5 It helps for people who insist on using MultiMC. There a a few people out there who use it, but seem to do it wrong, frequently. #6 I don't see an offline button on my launcher, and even if there is, I'm fairly certain that this was posted before it was included. Something isn't pointless because just you don't use it. Lots of people use MultiMC, and whether or not they should use the launcher or MultiMC shouldn't be the issue here anyways. Plus if people are using MultiMC, they should have already realized that they won't get prompted for updates. #7 The issue is users wanting the freedom of online play without hindrance. An offline play button will not allow the user to choose a mod pack to play with, if the download server has not displayed information about the mod pack in question, even if the mod pack was already downloaded. What are you trying to do? make sure paid users get the mod packs? We need added authentication like a hole in the head.You must separate the download/install action controls from the game launcher controls, else this issue of unreliability will just continue. People are resorting to another launcher like MultiMC because they can not use the FTB launcher when they need it to play the game. Making the user go through 2 different servers (FTB download/install/update server and Minecraft authentication login server) before they can play the game online is superfluous.One possible suggestion: Write a function to check for mod packs already downloaded and indicate these mod packs were already downloaded in the mod pack choices before connecting to the download server. For 1.13.2 from Chocohead's fork.Rift 1.13.2 installation (if you play Minecraft 1.13.2):- Make sure you have Java 8 installed (Java 9 or newer won't work with Rift)Option 1 - Use the MultiMC launcher (I personally recommend this!):Get MultiMC from this zip: MultiMC, click Add Instance from the topSelect Import from zip on the left, and select that zip file you downloaded from above.
