Know Launchpad is still opening for you. Here are two additional steps to try: Login ItemsLet's look at your login items, which are the applications that are set to open automatically when you turn on your computer. If Launchpad is listed, you will select it and click the minus button (-) to remove it from the login items. If it is not listed, that's OK. Just checking.Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your MacSafe modeQuit your open applications, shut down your computer, and startup in Safe mode.It will take a little longer for the computer to start up this way, so be patient.Safe mode starts the computer without any third-party extensions, cleans out caches, and does some general housekeeping as part of a "clean" startup.Work with the computer for 30 minutes or so, and let us know if the issue with Launchpad persists while in Safe mode.If it does not, then shut down the computer and restart it normally. Let us know the results.Start up your Mac in safe modeHave a good day! Aug 5, 2021 9:23 AM in response to pienoire56 The best antivirus, cleaning app, and overall maintenance app for Mac OS is Mac OS itself. All you need to do with Mac OS to keep it secure and running well is to keep it up-to-date and do periodic (about 1x per week) restarts. Other than that, leave it alone. Adding third party antivirus, cleaning, security and other types of maintenance apps to Mac OS adds no additional level of security. The only thing these apps do is have the opposite affect users want. They make Mac OS slow, unstable, generate odd behavior (much like you are experiencing) and make Mac OS appear buggy. Please locate the developers uninstall instructions for Webroot and Combo Cleanerand follow to the letter. Then restart in Safe Mode per the directions in Use safemode to isolate issues with your Mac and then restart normally. To turn off the keyboard shortcut for Launchpad go to Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Launchpad & Dock and unchecking Show Launchpad.
