Access the IBM Passport Advantage website (www.ibm.com/software/howtobuy/passportadvantage). Tip: If you get an error, try to use a different web browser to access IBM Passport Advantage. Sign in and navigate to the software downloads page. Find the eAssembly or eAssemblies for your product. The eAssembly part numbers to search for are listed in this document. An eAssembly groups individual product parts (eImages) together. Download all parts in an eAssembly by selecting the check box beside the name of the eAssembly. Download individual parts of an eAssembly by expanding the eAssembly and selecting the check box for the eImages. When the download finishes, a Download Complete message displays. The location of the downloaded files displays in the message window. Unpack each of the parts into a single, temporary directory on your system. Question How do I get the ODBC driver for IBM i Access Client Solutions? Answer IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS) is split into two main parts. The base package component is the Java-based client that includes the emulator, data transfer, and other functions with graphical interfaces. The other parts are the platform-specific packages they are: the Windows Application Package, the Linux Application Package, and the macOS Application Package.The Windows Application Package component contains the ODBC driver, OLEDB provider, ADO.Net provider, ActiveX components, and API support ported from the older IBM i Access for Windows client.The Linux and macOS Application Packages provide an ODBC driver that works with the unixODBC project.
