2025-04-10Archer C7 - Slow Download / Fast Upload on WirelessArcher C7 - Slow Download / Fast Upload on Wireless2019-03-23 13:28:50Hardware Version: V5Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 20180425 rel.72768(4555)I have a 1Gbps internet connection into my house and I've just bought a Archer C7 to make the best use of it. Plugging my laptop directly into the router, I get the speeds I'd expect, 500+ Mbps for both upload and download: When I test using wireless however (5 GHz / 802.11ac / auto channel & width) I get very strange results. My upload speed is much faster than my download speed. On wireless I would've expected both upload and download to be around 500 Mbps but my download is only around 150 Mbps. QoS is disabled since I've got NAT Boost on. I've tried turning NAT Boost off but that makes it worse. WMM is enabled but it doesn't make much difference if I disable that. Around me there are only 2 other 5 GHz networks being broadcast, one is on channel 52 and the other is on channel 44. My router is auto setting to 36 with a 80 MHz width so there doesn't appear to be any significant interference. The wireless test was performed with my laptop right next to the router and I've tried with a few devices but just got the same result with every device. I've got the latest firmware installed as well. Has anyone come across this issue or know of a fix?Re:Archer C7 - Slow
