February 5, 2024, 1:14pm 1 i got a full 5.1 system bitstreaming over a optical usb connection so i get full ieee float or pcm 32bit 5.1 audio from my entire windows system iv been useing fxsound with it and love it its working very well i dont have a soundcard so this is the next best thang my question tho is how would i get the best sound detail without any bass or anythang that would be too high i want the best quality but dont want to strain my ears trying to listen to music thank you Hi Gabby,First, two general guidelines:Don’t set any of the Effects or EQ sliders past level 4.Avoid clipping (the first point will help with that). Why use a graphic equalizer? A recording of music or spoken word can pick up a variety of tones, not all of them pleasant. A graphic equalizer (EQ) offers a simple solution: boost or cut (make louder or softer) a specific range of frequencies to improve sound quality. With sliders that move up or down in decibels (degrees of loudness), graphic EQs are so user-friendly they’ve become common features in car audio speaker systems and home theaters as well as recording studios. How do graphic equalizers work? Most graphic equalizers divide sound between 6 and 31 bands of frequency, with a physical or virtual slider controlling the volume of each band. If, for example, the treble is too loud on a track, cutting the volume on one or two of the higher frequency bands can soften it. If the bass is shaking the windows, you can just lower the slider of one of the lower frequency bands.
