[SOLVED] [Win10] Crash/freezing occuring during certain applications (League of Legends, Webex) but not others Thread starter Thread starter Supha Start date Start date May 29, 2020 You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. May 29, 2020 1 0 10 #1 For the past couple of months, I have been having issues with crashing/freezing with certain applications. I notice it most often with League of Legends, a game I played for many years until this issue started occuring. However, the crash sometimes occurs with other applications, such as Webex and BlueStacks. I started experiencing this issue after I built my new computer over the summer.Description: In the middle of a game or Webex session, my screen suddenly freezes. The frame will periodically update every 10 seconds or so. At this time, I can see that my FPS is at 0 (reading the FPS counter within league of legends). For audio, the background music continues playing, but sound effects from abilities stop. If I am in a discord call, I can periodically hear them and they can sometimes hear me mid-crash (but only for a few seconds or so, then they cut out for me and we cant hear each other).I can sometimes move my cursor, but if I move it too much then the cursor freezes for a few seconds. I can't alt tab or bring up task manager. Eventually, after 5 minutes or so, the screen turns black. At some point, I have to turn off my computer by holding the power button, and I just have to click it again to turn my computer back on. No error message shows up.This issue does not occur when I play FPS games such as Apex Legends, COD:Warzone, and Valorant. After the crashes started with League, I started playing these games heavily for many hours with no issues. The only time I crash is when I hop back on League (or some other apps/games), and I crash every other game or so. And sometimes, I will reconnect, and crash a few minutes later in the same game.Setup:AORUS B450I Pro wifiAMD Ryzen 3600Nvidia RTX 2060 Super8GB RAM - Ballistix250 GB SSD and 1 TB HD650W PSU - CorsairWhat I have tried so far:Uninstalled Nvidia HD Audio driverI tried other software fixes but was fed up and I've written everything I've found about this problem here in chronological order: 5950x/6900xt Stutter-freezes after gpu memory clock goes MIA from HWinfo | Overclock.netHowever now it seems my repasting may have just been very bad timing.5950x / 32gb G-Skill RipjawsV / 6900xt / Unify-X B550 / 1000w Corsair RMX & latest W11 ... mouse and keyboard...Questions for you hereDo you have any sensors go grey in HWinfo when the problem occurs?Does edge / chrome work fine if you disable HW accelleration?New findingsReverting to Adrenaline 23.9.1 - after running amd cleanup util in safemodeMemory clock in HWinfo goes grey stillPC never crashes / freezesWay less flickering in general usage compared to 23.9.2 and .3Ubuntu seems to run w/o ever freezingDocumented:ProblemFor my system what ALWAYS happen is that my Memory Clock turns grey in HWinfo and reports 0 in Adrenaline. When this happens I can freeze the system at will. Means that he/she will still know when you’re online.Should you wish to view these messages, just tap to enable the Show message button on your computer or tap the Blocked messages tab on your mobile device. How to tell if someone blocked you on Discord? In the case where someone blocked you on Discord, you can use the built-in Clyde bot to confirm. Using Clyde bot, you will get notified about any unresponsive actions that you carry out. Typically, the Clyde bot will prompt an error message saying that “Your message could not be delivered because you don’t share a server with the recipient or you disabled direct messages on your shared server, the recipient is only accepting direct messages from friends, or you were blocked by the recipient” whenever you attempt to message someone who has blocked you on Discord.Aside from the Clyde bot, you can also tell if someone blocked you on Discord through message reactions. All you have to do is react to the person’s message in the common server. If your reaction is displayed, it means that person has not blocked you. I don't play too many resource demanding games which is what has me in a pickle. When running two or three programs at a time (ex. Spotify, Discord, LoL) my computer experiences a sort of "freeze". Music still plays and I can still talk to my friends on discord, however, i can't tab out and all my windows are frozen (this doesn't just happen when gaming). I immediately hit ctrl alt del because this usually acts as an indication as to when the computer is "defrosted" as in i can use it again. I open task manager and always see the CPU usage spiked up to 100 when the computer was frozen. This happened before my clean install. I figured I may have a virus so I made a boot drive and formatted both my SSD and HDD. I went through the steps and reinstalled Win 10 from my USB drive yet the problem persists. My thought is either my CPU or my motherboard has taken a crap on me. I'm leaning towards my motherboard because usually when these freezes happen, my wireless network adapter that is connected via USB resets as well. I updated MB to 3.3.7310 a few weeks ago. I am running W7, so no store version here.Anyway, I noted these strange bugs or issues when scrolling through songs quite rapidly. When I look at upcoming tracks I see for example songs, A, B, C, D, and E. A track is playing, I hit skip next up is B, but MB skips song B and shows that it is playing C. Yet I can hear both songs B and C playing. I can reproduce this issue consistently by just skipping tracks. There is also a second issue which occurs when also skipping tracks repeatedly. An error pop-up pops up, but I cannot read it as MB freezes and the Windows "MusicBee has stopped working" error opens. This is the latest error in the log, but if I remember correctly my GPU driver crashed causing MB to close. Nevertheless, I don't remember seeing the errors I'm describing in this post occuring at the time mentioned in the following error message.27.02.2020 09:46:21 - 6.1.7601.65536 - 3.3.7310.31925D - System.IO.InvalidDataException: Found invalid data while decoding. at #=zPcl_Dm20tBbtWkG__qfpA5U=.#=zu_Ic6RcTPa7i.#=zq3LpZ9mTs0uK(BinaryReader #=zGHIfU7o=, #=zciF9OIiQXAk0zSPhJHpUW2Y= #=ztM5CwWY=) at #=zPcl_Dm20tBbtWkG__qfpA5U=.#=zu_Ic6RcTPa7i.#=z_fFXXTk=(FileStream #=zBUkfd9g=) at #=zPcl_Dm20tBbtWkG__qfpA5U=.#=zyybknMpMxwR1.#=z37t7AGYxiRhxe8pNCw==(#=zlkE2wlw28gwaYlXF4g== #=z7GX9EyK44bsO)Edit: Just as I posted and continued to try and replicate the freezing bug, I did manage to get an error about the "sound output locking up". This could be the error popup that I mentioned earlier, as the popup window is roughly the same size. However, when MB freezes "hard" the error popup isn't "loaded" so I cannot read it.Also

First to 1.92 and later to 1.94.In both versions I run into the issue that XnConvert freezes (not responding) when I add files/folders. I tried both, pulling files/folders into the window and adding them via button. It doesn't make any difference.Luckily I still had the setup file from v1.85.1. So I uninstalled the new versions and went back to 1.85.1.Everything works fine there, so something between 1.85.1 and 1.92 must cause the issue.ps: I'm running Windows 10 ghostwheel2000 Posts: 3 Joined: Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:07 am Re: XnConvert freezes when adding files Post by ghostwheel2000 » Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:15 am Im having a similar problem but xnconvert closes with no error message when adding a folder.Im using 1.94 x64 but the problem goes back to at least 1.85 (Which used to work)Ive tried disabling AVAST and Malware Bytes. McAfee Antivirus 4.5 claims to find an unknown virus, but only when Total Commander is started through the startup group! Why does it take so long to launch the 32-bit version on my 486? Sometimes when I delete or move directories on a Netware server, the network drive is disconnected!
