Some work for the government or public health organizations. Besides salaries varying by state, you also find that pay differs between employers. Case management takes place in hospitals and private practices; some nurses even help patients in long-term rehabilitation clinics and nursing homes. One of the significant aspects of this career is that you can choose what types of patients you enjoy working with and find specific environments tailored to helping them.
