Screenshot: G Somewhere in the dim and distant past, we all switched from looking at one webpage at a time, to having dozens of tabs open simultaneously—and our attention spans have never been the same since. Managing all of these open tabs can be a problem, for some more so than others, but Google Chrome has a helpful feature you can make use of.That feature is tab grouping, and it works exactly how it sounds: You group multiple tabs together in specific digital buckets, so you can more easily manage them. They can then be moved, opened, or closed in batches, so you don’t need to have a pile of tabs open that you’re not actually using. You can group tabs in whatever way you like: You can have specific groups for specific projects, for example, or split tabs between work and personal browsing, or have groups for social media and video streaming. It’s completely up to you. Here’s how to get started with tabs in Chrome on the desktop or on mobile.(By the way, if you prefer using a different browser, tab grouping is also available in a lot of Chrome’s competitors—though we’re focusing on Google’s browser here.)Tab groups on the desktopYou can use tab groups for whatever purpose you want. Screenshot: Google The trusty right-click is the key to getting started with tab groups in Chrome on the desktop. Right-click on any tab header, and you’ll see a bunch of options.Choose Add Tab to New Group to create a new group, and put this tab in it.Enter a name and choose a color for your new group.Enable Save Group to put a link to the group on the bookmarks bar.If you’ve already created at least one group, you’ll see an Add tab to group option as well—choose this to put the selected tab in an existing group. This bookmarks bar sits just below the toolbar—if you can’t see it, press Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+B (macOS). Shortcuts to saved tap groups appear to the left of your bookmarks, so you can quickly get back to them. The way saved tab group shortcuts work can be a bit confusing. If you close down a Chrome window by clicking the X in the corner of the window, the tab group shortcut will still be there when you reopen the browser. However, if you close down all the tabs in the group individually, via the X on the tabs themselves, the tab group shortcut will disappear—Chrome assumes you no longer need the group, as you closed all its tabs.Right-click on a group name to bring up a menu of options. Need to open the same page in more than one tab? Today we’ll show you how to duplicate a tab the easy way in Chrome or Firefox. Today’s tip is brought to us thanks to How-To Geek reader Konc . First, use the Alt+D shortcut key sequence to move the focus to the location bar… and keep the Alt key held down. Now simply hit the Enter key (since you’ve got the Alt key held down). This will open up the current URL into a new tab, basically duplicating the tab. Once you’ve done it once or twice, you’ll realize that it’s extremely easy to use—just use Alt, D, Enter, and the tab is duplicated. The same thing works in Chrome as well, and is the only way that we know of to duplicate a tab from the keyboard. Note that you can duplicate a tab with the mouse in Chrome by simply right-clicking the tab. Duplicate with Tab Mix Plus (Firefox) If you are one of the many Tab Mix Plus users , you can always duplicate a tab with the context menu, or with the Ctrl+Alt+T shortcut key. The nice thing about the Tab Mix Plus variety is that it’ll keep all of the history in the duplicated tab. Then again, that’s a lot of extra memory that Firefox doesn’t necessarily need to use, so you might prefer to stick with the first shortcut key if you don’t need the history. In Word 365, Excel 365, PowerPoint 365, and other Office 365 products (and earlier versions of Office too), you can customize the Ribbon to make it easier for you to find the commands that you use most frequently. For example, you might want to move commands that you use a lot to the Home tab. You can can also change the order in which tabs appear, and even add your own custom tabs. In this article, we will show you how using Word 365 as an example. The process is the same in the other Office products.Customize Ribbon OptionsThe settings for customizing the Ribbon are in the Word Options dialog. You can get to those settings in two ways. The easiest way is to right-click any empty space on the Ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon…: The other way to get to the Ribbon customization options is to: Enter Backstage view by clicking File.Click Options: Select Customize Ribbon: The commands appear on the left and the tabs appear on the right: By default, only the main tabs show up on the right, but you can change that by selecting All Tabs or Tool Tabs from the dropdown at the top: Use the up and down arrows to reorder the tabs: To add and modify a custom tab group:Select a tab on the right. The custom tab you add will show up after the selected tab.Below the list of tabs, click the New Tab button: Note that a new group is automatically created as well. This is because commands must be added to groups, not tabs, so all tabs must have at least one group. Do one of the following to rename the tab: Enter the new tab name in the Rename dialog and click OK: Rename the group in the same way; that is, by right-clicking the group or selecting the group and clicking Rename. Then enter the new name for the group in the Rename dialog: You also have the option of selecting a symbol to represent the group. To add a command to the group, select the command

There are two ways that you can make chords in guitar tab creator. The default way is to use the Chord Toolbar. The other way is available to users who have created an account and are logged in. Using the "advanced editor", you can create much more complex chords, and do things like chord slides, hammer on, etc.Creating Chords using the toolbar (Standard Editor)When you are creating chords, the three buttons allow you to do the following: you can stop creating chords, you can move to the next chord, or you can mute strings within a chord.Once you are creating chords, you can add notes to the chord by clicking on the fretboard. Notice that as you add notes, the chord is being created in the tab below. when you are finished with a chord, you can press the stop reecording button to end, or you can press the next chord button to create another chord. If you want to mute some strings in your chord, press the mute string button and any string you click on will be muted. Here is a video on how to make chords for your guitar tab using Guitar Tab Creator. In this lesson, I go over the procedure to start making chords on the tool, how to add progressive chords to your tab, and also how to add mutes to your chords. The first video shows you how to create chords using the "Create Chords" ToolbarCreating Chords with the Advanced EditorTo use the Advanced Editor, you first need to have an account with Guitar Tab Creator and be logged in. You can learn about the advanced editor on the site, or in our videos.Because you only need to use the keyboard, creating chords with the advanced editor is the easier and faster way to make chords. It allows for more complex chord patterns. While you can still use the fretboard, using the arrow keys allows you to navigate up and down the tab quickly. A popup window was added to show the keys being pressed on the keyboard. You can also mute strings by pressing the x key. This video shows you how to create chords using the advanced editor. Using this method, you do not need to use the fretboard to add chords to your guitar tab. Instead, you can use only the keyboard to navigate the tab and quickly add chords.

It is a useful feature and it shouldn't be changed. And the placement of this option is right, because it isn't "only one tab" option.hm,still don´t see the use. in view mode, there is already a button to switch to the browser again. and if a tab opens for one pic its only waste of space. but of cause if someone disables the toolbar..ok. this wasn´t also my main point to get rid of the "only one view". just the way its handled. so if the toolbar is there, the tab is unnecessary, imo. but as you said, its a workaround and i would like the tab behavior changed/be better/more userfriendly accessable.
