I have strong feeling Windows Defender is slowing down downloads from non-browser processes.Today I could access remotely to a customer's machine, where he was complaining about slow RogueKiller updates (despite high internet connexion). He also told me the direct download from Chrome was blazing fast. When I logged in, I ran some tests and saw indeed that: - RogueKiller update was taking 2-3 mns to download 20MB of file, and often stopped in the middle.- RogueKiller update was downloaded in 5 secs from Chrome, indeed. After stopping Defender live protection (and cloud), the update performed in 5 seconds.I think Defender is trying to analyze every downloaded chunk, thus reducing the download speed.Is this a known issue? I love WD but my PC feels a lot more snappier without it.
