For starters, it means that what is being bought becomes more transparent to the customer.But also: Facebook then holds itself more accountable for the service. You pay only for what you are actually using, and Facebook essentially only gets paid for how engaging it’s managed to make the service, much like ads that run on the platform.“We wanted to build enterprise software the Facebook way,” said Codorniou.Another interesting aspect of the pricing concerns the tiers of numbers Facebook is throwing around. The company would not give us a total number of MAUs for Workplace as of today. But it is clear that the aim is to target very large companies and other organizations with this product.Some of the early customers that Facebook has signed up have included 36,000 employees at the carrier Telenor, and 100,000 employees at the Royal Bank of Scotland, and today Facebook’s announcing more such as Danone (100,000 employees), Starbucks (238,000 employees) and Booking.com (13,000).It also has organizations like the Royal National Institute for the Blind, Oxfam, and the Government Technology Agency of Singapore.While Facebook is charging for Workplace, making tons of money from it doesn’t appear to be its actual goal — not at first, at least. The goal, Codorniou said, is to gain some critical mass for the product.“We’re going to grow Workplace like Instagram and Messenger,” he said. “Before you even think about monetization, we want to spend the first years growing it. 2025-03-25Connected to was in Luxembourg. After running the Avast VPN speed test, Avast VPN managed to output 25.34 Mbps download speed, 91.5 Mbps upload speed, and 206 ms pings. For some reason, I just couldn’t get past the 26 Mbps download speed mark.5. NetherlandsAlthough the Netherlands server connected almost instantly, It still managed to only output 26 Mbps download speed. The upload speed, however, was not bad at all. I managed to note down 76.84 Mbps upload speed with 192 ms pings.6. South AfricaWith the South African server, because of the distance, I noticed an insanely high ping of 647 ms. If we talk about download speed and upload speed, they were 25.34 Mbps and 36.17 Mbps respectively. If you’re paying attention, you must have noticed a huge drop in my upload speed by now.7. SpainWith the Spanish server, my upload speed dropped even more significantly. After I ran the test, I recorded my download speed at 26.42 Mbps and my upload speed at only 14.42 Mbps. That’s seriously a major drop.8. United KingdomThe U.K. server performed much better. After getting connected, Avast VPN managed to output 26.25 Mbps download and 66.09 Mbps upload speed. The U.K. server also managed to max out at 181 ms pings only.9. BrazilThe first server I tested was the Brazilian server of Avast VPN. With my 100 Mbps connection, I managed to only get a download speed of 26.42 Mbps and an upload speed of 77.09 Mbps. I also notice a significantly high ping of 500 ms.A bit about Avast SecureLine VPN in South KoreaFeatures-wise, Avast VPN is not all that well equipped.
