Get yours here: ------Play in-app sounds, iOS music apps (e.g. GarageBand), or laptop software through movement: The AUUG Motion Synth tracks your movements and screen touches to expressively play in-app musical sounds. The AUUG Motion Synth also allows you to play the sounds of other iOS music apps, giving you access to a vast array of sounds and effects. You can also play external devices like hardware synths or vocal harmonizers as well as control audio or visual software on a laptop (via WiFi or cabled connections). The Motion Synth app is also compatible with the Music IO app, allowing you to control your laptop software via your iPhone cable (Lightning).------Use the Motion Synth App by itself or with a Motion Synth Grip:The Motion Synth App has two modes:1) Single-Key mode (free version): This Motion Synth App mode allows you to quickly engage with motion-based music control, and includes tutorial videos explaining how to use the in-app sounds. 2) Multi-Key mode (upgrade): This Motion Synth App mode is designed to work with the AUUG Motion Synth Grip: a physical holder that securely attaches your iPhone or iPod touch to your hand, thereby improving the dexterity and accuracy with which you can trigger notes via the touch screen. What’s New - Simpler activation of multi-key mode- Bug fixes Ratings and Reviews Very bad. You need to download something for it to actually make any noise, which I think is ridiculous to be honest. If you're going to make a music app, at least make it MAKE MUSIC! It seemed like a brilliant idea, but it's very disappointing I must say. Extremely disappointed I'm really disappointed with the Auug motion synth. After Imagine being able to play notes and alter sounds through the motion of your hand and arm, using an iPhone or iPod touch. That's the idea behind the AUUG Motion Synth, a unique musical instrument and controller that is getting close to its Kickstarter goal with another eight days to go in the campaign. The developers of the AUUG Motion Synth are looking for US$70,000 in funding and have achieved just over $57,000.The AUUG Motion Synth consists of an app to convert your hand motions to output (either sounds or MIDI actions) and a wearable grip that holds the iOS device and provides tactile feedback for virtual keys on the screen of the device. It supports wireless and cabled MIDI, so just about any musical hardware or external synthesizer can be controlled by hand and arm gestures. There's also a cloud component to AUUG: The company hopes to have a cloud service that will let users share settings and ideas. Some of those settings include presets for the AUUG app to work with other iOS music apps. One of the videos we've attached to this post shows how easy it is to set up the AUUG Motion Synth to work with other apps as simple as GarageBand or as complex as Ableton Live. There are a limited number of backing opportunities available starting at $68 and $78, with one of the aluminum AUUG grips and the software being your reward for backing the project. After the device goes into production, the AUUG Motion Synth will retail for $110.The entire concept makes a lot more sense when you've seen it in action, so check out the videos below for a full idea of how the app, grip and cloud work together with the musician to make beautiful music.AUUG Motion Synth Pitch Summary Product: AUUG Motion Synth

A years wait, a flimsy ill-designed holding case finally showed up. The app is sadly even more disappointing.I purchased the $99 holder for my old iPhone 4. I had to upgrade to os7 to run the app which was fine, but have since found that the Auug app doesn't contain any sounds of its own. You have to use a third party app just to get any sound at all! This would be fine, but Garage Band - which is recommended and has presets included does not run on os7, which is the most up to date os for the iPhone 4. The upshot is - no sound from this device.Support is literally non existent, as Auug have insisted on using a 'wiki' system so they can 'spend more time developing'! Well it's been a year and this is all they can produce!FAQ on the website currently has only 2 questions; 'why aren't you answering my questions?' and 'how can I order?'!!I've been playing synths professionally for just over 20 years and this is just disappointment in a box. A complete waste of $99.Please don't be seduced by the pretty videos on YouTube. It's not worth the bother. Two days and counting and still nothing to show for it and I'm a professional musician and tech savvy!I hate to beat up on a start up company but at the same time, I have to be honest, this is a dreadful product.Avoid at all cost. • • • • • > Video Audio Revolutionary Sound CreationInside the V-Synth GT Version 2.0 is a dual-core sound engine that powers a staggering number of onboard synthesizer technologies, including Elastic Audio Synthesis, Vocal Designer, AP-SYNTHESIS, COSM analog modeling, and PCM wave sampling and playback. Each core is its own independent synthesizer that can combine any or all of these technologies to create a tone, and two tones can be layered, split, or morphed to create a single patch. The original V-Synth GT contains hundreds of onboard patches and tones, and the Version 2.0 update adds many hundreds more cutting-edge sounds to expand the instrument’s already powerful abilities. A new Import File feature is also included in Version 2.0, allowing you to import individual patch and tone files, as well as your own waveforms and loops for creating completely original sounds.Tools of ExpressionTones in the V-Synth GT start with analog-modeled waves, PCM waves, or an external audio source, which you can then process with familiar synthesis tools like ADSR envelopes, LFOs, and filters. However, this is only the beginning of the sound creation story. Roland’s astounding AP-SYNTHESIS recreates the ever-changing nuance, feel, and phrase articulation of non-keyboard instruments such as strings, brass, and woodwinds, and you can apply these characteristics dynamically to any V-Synth GT sound as you play. Next, Elastic Audio Synthesis and VariPhrase technology let you change the pitch, formant, and length of sampled sounds in real time, making them come alive with authenticity. Finally, the Vocal Designer, an onboard vocoder with advanced voice modeling, allows you to use the most natural instrument of all—the human voice—to add the ultimate expression to V-Synth GT sounds. With these emotive synthesis tools at your disposal, you have complete control to create sounds the way you want to hear them, sounds that are the product of your own unique musical vision.Depth and MotionFor further sound enhancement, each V-Synth GT tone has its own dedicated COSM-based multi-effects processor. These “Tone-FX” offer an enormous range of processing options, including delay, filter, and modulation effects, as well as guitar-type effects such as distortion and COSM amplifier models. 22 new Tone-FX have been added with Version 2.0, bringing the onboard total to 63. To add the finishing polish to your patches, there are 8 types of chorus and 18 types of reverb (5 new reverbs being added with the Version 2.0 update). To impart a sense of motion to the sound, each tone has a Multi Step Modulator that automates changes to oscillator, filter, and LFO parameters. There’s also a built-in arpeggiator, which automatically creates arpeggios as you play the keyboard. Version 2.0 adds many enhancements that make working with these motion features faster and easer,.
