Ableton keyboard shortcuts

Sorry for the broken record. papawise Posts: 44 Joined: Mon May 03, 2010 10:09 pm Re: Ableton Live 12 - Keyboard shortcuts Post by papawise » Thu Aug 08, 2024 11:30 am totally agreethough, I discovered that the key combination that the Ableton stuff meant is: CTRL+TAB no ALT+TAB, so there is a typo in the help/manual/references, but it doesn't work very well anyway. You need to have the "MIDI note editor" window active in order to the CTRL+TAB to work and change tabs, maybe this is logic but I think it could have a dedicated key combination that works regardless of what you have selected.

Jezric Posts: 24 Joined: Wed Oct 25, 2023 5:41 pm Live 12 - Do we have keyboard shortcut remapping yet? I really hope that keyboard shortcut remapping (quality of life) is part of Live 12. Things such as remapping the quantize keyboard shortcut, which as it is, is too much of a stretch to do from the left side of the keyboard (on Win10), and show/hide plugin windows, same deal. Sadly, I have seen nothing about this in any of the Live 12 demos. With a focus on accessibility (which is called out in almost every demo), I would be surprised to not see this sort of functionality. But no word on customizing any of this. So... I am going to assume, it's all hard-coded... Guess we all (who care) need to keep using AutoHotKey to hack the keyboard shortcuts. I have reduced dexterity these days and hitting that little tiny bastard is a real pain. My mouse hand isn't very accurate anymore so it's like a very un fun game.
