For detection, it relies on the ability to ping broadcast channel on your USB. If you have a strict firewall in place, this may stop apps from detecting devices unless they have an (expensive as in $20k) USB driver.Realistically there's no reason for a firewall to block USB net but you never know. Also, of course USB mass storage must be turned off (but that is default anyway). You also need latest Link drivers if. Download link for sachesi autoloader. , . conite. Well that's exactly the kind of utility that can block Link from working - if you have the full Eset version, it has its own built-in firewall. You can probably make it work by customizing the rules and making sure all the Blackberry components are unblocked. The only password that Sachesi cares about is a lock password. These are instructions on using Sachesi. I got them off of the CrackBerry website forums. I follow these instructions every time I update my OS. I always back up my phone before the process as the instructions suggest. Just in case someone does not know yet how to upgrade non-destructively: Following the steps below you can upgrade non-destructively, so you won't lose any data on your device and do not have to start from scratch. It's like doing an OTA update on your device. Note that this tutorial is assuming that you are using Windows and have the latest version of BlackBerry Link installed. Before you do anything backup your device with BlackBerry Link. Do a full backup! If something goes wrong you can easily go back to your current OS and restore your backup. Backup made? Then close BlackBerry Link and proceed: 1)Install the latest version of SachesiCurrently 2.0.0 RC from here 2)Download the 3 leaked files for your device: RadioCore OSDebrick Make sure that you download the proper files for your device, in this example it is a Classic (which is using Z30 Core OS and Debrick and the Radio for the Classic) The smallest file is the Radio and looks like:qc8960.wtr5-10.3.1.2727-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar The biggest file is the Debrick and looks like:qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop-10.3.1.2726-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar The third file is the Core OS and looks like:qc8960.factory_sfi-10.3.1.2726-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar 3)Create a folder on your hard driveName it as the OS you have downloaded, e.g.10.3.1.2726 4)Create a second folder on your hard driveName it10.3.1.2726 Debrick 5)Put the Core OS and the Radio in your 10.3.1.2726 folder 6)Put the Debrick file (the biggest one) in your 10.3.1.2726 Debrick folder 7)Open SachesiYou do not have to connect your device yetJust open Sachesi and click the tab Extract Click the Extract Signed button and select the big Debrick file from your 10.3.1.2726 Debrick folder You' ll see a progress bar running, wait till the process is finished. In your 10.3.1.2726 Debrick folder is now a second even bigger file which looks like:qcfm.image.com.qnx.qcfm.qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop .BB10_3_1.2726.834561.signed In Sachesi click on the Extract Apps button and select this new big .signed file from your

Thread to read them all. Since my carrier is late in delivering the last update, I was thinking to go Sachesi, but just wanted to ask you guys... 1. installing another carrier FW means that I will also get its bloatware too? 2. Regarding future updates, will my phone be "seen" as registered with the new carrier and receive updates accordingly? Thanks. Posted via CB10 from my exquisite Z10 on Cosmote Romania All firmware is identical. There is no bloatware. Carrier-specific add-ons are installed afterwards (first run). All updates are dependent on currently inserted SIM card. Nothing to do with what firmware is installed. 02-01-14 10:27 PM 105 Originally Posted by xsacha All firmware is identical. You have newer firmware. 02-02-14 07:47 PM 115 Xsacha, my firewall settings are pretty much average, and the only BB components I have on the computer is the BB Device management (Apploader and Appworld Installer). I had to uninstall BBLink, because it stops my browsers' ability to connect to websites. They just load and load, and basically nothing happens. Their other functions are untouched and work perfectly. The computer itself and the browsers themselves don't slow down, they just can't connect.
